To drive the tachometer needle from scratch directly into the red zone is clearly not what the motor needs for a long life.
Fuel type and grade. The fuel for the car must be taken as specified in the operating instructions. When it comes to gasoline, you should stick to the recommended octane number. The car will be damaged by both low-octane fuel and fuel with high anti-knock properties. When refueling a diesel car, one should pay attention to the seasonality of the diesel fuel purchased. And the simplest and most general advice is not to refuel the car in questionable places that sell fuel of unknown quality.
Additives. It is better to forget about magic additives and miraculous devices that improve engine performance. Such unscientific means will only help to break the car ahead of time. Best if they don't work at all. But the money has been spent on such funds.
Cargo. The instructions clearly state the maximum permissible load weight. You shouldn't carry more of this. If the doors of the passenger compartment and the trunk were able to close, this does not mean that the car can bear such weights. Several hundred kilograms taken aboard in excess of the norm will quickly have undesirable effects on the suspension, body and transmission. The engine will suffer less, but systematic overloads of health will certainly not add to it.
Changing seasons. For the onset of the new season, you need to prepare the car in advance. And it's not just seasonal maintenance in the form of fluid replacement. Some motorists prefer to cover the body with special protective compounds.
Storage. The machine must be stationary in a dry, ventilated area, out of direct sunlight. Keeping a frequently used vehicle in a heated garage in winter will significantly increase the risk of corrosion.
